I will be loading up some longer videos later this week once I can compress them, but in the meantime here is a taste of our water safety session with Averill this week. The kids had a great time learning numerous different skills to help keep them safe in the water.

Longer and Shorter
Exploring measurement words and our team work skills, working out the length order for these pieces of string. Lots of fantastic language being used by the students when comparing and ordering. We even had a helper from our buddy class join us to help.

Water safety with Averil
The students did a fantastic job today learning about safe entry, wearing PFDs, how to huddle as a group in water to keep warm, and lots more.

Class swimming
Class swimming is lots of fun so we are making the most of our daily swimming times before it gets too cold. Tomorrow we have a special water safety lesson in the school pool which I can't wait to share with you.

Helicopter Visit
We had such a wonderful time seeing the Navy Helicopter visit our school. It was very loud when it landed on the bottom field. There were so many smiles when we got to sit inside and ask the crew questions. Aren't we lucky to have had such a great experience!
